The wedding bells have rung and the honeymoon is over, so now it is time to send thank you notes for the wedding gifts.

Sending thank you notes for the items you receive as wedding gifts, is absolutely necessary. You can keep on track and send thank you notes out after each bridal shower. If you are sent a gift prior to the wedding, then send the thank you out immediately. For gifts received at the wedding, you should send your notes out as quickly as possible once the honeymoon is over. (more…)

No Crib translates to a Mobile Toddler!

If No Crib translates to a mobile toddler for you, then you have probably just made the transition from a crib to a bed. Now that you have moved your little one out of the crib, how do you keep your independent toddler in the bed?

The transition from crib to bed brings a new freedom for your child and exploring that new freedom is only natural. Be ready for your toddler to come up with a multitude of excuses to get out of the bed. Maybe a constant request for another drink of water, another book to be read, or yet another good night kiss. how-not-to-turn-your-nye-into-a-drunk-fest.jpgAre you upset with the way some of your parties have turned out, and you want to figure out how you can weed out the drunks from your future parties? There is always that one person who can’t hold their liquor, or they are obnoxious when they drink. The more they drink, the louder they become and the more you wish they would just leave. Unfortunately, you cannot put them in a car and let them drive home. It has now become your responsibility to take care of them by either sobering them up so they can drive, or giving them a place to lay their heads for the night. Your party has now become an overnight job. (more…)

Pregnant and Diagnosed with Inflammatory Breast Cancer

Wednesday, August 6th, 2008

ribbon1_000.gifCan you imagine anything scarier than being pregnant and diagnosed with Inflammatory Breast Cancer? After reading many articles on inflammatory breast cancer, a startling statistic hit me, 1 in every 3,000 women who are pregnant are diagnosed with breast cancer. Talk about the worst news at the worst possible time. The next stage is to make an informed decision about what treatment will work best for you and your unborn child.

Don’t assume because it is inflammatory breast cancer that your pregnancy will be terminated or that this is a death sentence. First you will want to get a second opinion, but do it quickly as this type of cancer spreads quickly and decisions will need to be made. Do your research and talk with as many doctors and breast cancer survivors as you can, make your decision and move forward. The sooner you get on this the better chances are that you will beat this cancer. (more…)
