What is your parenting style? Most of us have decided what we liked and didn’t like about our own parent’s style. We have decided that there are things that our parents did that we would never do to our children! For example, I was never going say “Because I said so”. I was always going to calmly explain my reasons to my children.

Well, as my dad used to say “Never say never”. My children were born, they grew older and more argumentative, and I found myself saying “Because I said so!” many, many times. Every time I said it I would cringe a little. As parents, we all find that this simple statement means that the decision is final and the conversation is over. The kids know it, you know it… they hate it, you love it.
