Family Names Kept Alive
On the day time drama One Life to Live, sisters Natalie and Jessica both want to name their sons Asa after their grandfather. They soon agree that the boys will share the same middle name of Asa. If you’re curious; Natalie names her son Liam Asa and Jessica’s son is named Rider Asa. Let’s see how many baby boys are named Liam and Rider this year!

Many couples want to use a beloved family member’s name, but is that name too old fashioned? Probably not!
Even Hollywood stars are going back to the basics with their baby names. Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have named their little girl Faith Margaret (Margaret is after Nicole’s grandmother). Many a great grandparent, or grandparent, is honored to have their grandchild named after them. To know that their name will be carried on for many years is endearing. This honor bestowed upon your child is a way to show him/her how important your family is.
Keep in mind that carrying on a family name should be a blessing, not a curse. Be sure that the name you are choosing is used in a way that your child can be proud of.
